  1. Try it with England deactivated. It may a blurry issue from England - see threads on UE England blurry issues outside England. May be unrelated but worth a try.
  2. It is not a case of "insist", it is a case of "having too". As you say, no point in arguing. I just want to understand why it occurs in Europe with UE England but not when other regions are used. Anyway, never mind. Have a good weekend.
  3. I am afraid "the rub" is not an option for me. The ACARS software we use at our VA will not allow you to do that without losing the flight because, s-i-m-u-l-a-t-o-r or not, it is not realistic to do so. I have not used other regions but if PNW can be left active without messing around with other regions, why can't EU England do the same? Do they not fundamentally do the same job?
  4. Thank you for explaining that to us, John. Sounds like, in the longer term, we will have a solution.
  5. The threads keep getting locked so it is hard to keep a thread flowing. My question is will the planned FTX Global fix the problem with EU England, or could EU England be incorporated into an EU Europe as one large area? Regards, Antony
  6. The words from the CEO in that locked thread suggest that Orbx EU England was never intended to be active when flying into Europe from the UK (England) and therefore it is not useful unless you are doing UK based domestic flights? I fly for a well know UK based VA and all my flights are from the UK to European destinations and back again. If I can't have EU England active when making one of these flights then I have bought something which is not useful for me. If I had know that it would not work as I thought it would then I would have thought twice about buying it. That is very disappointing. I am not a programmer but I don't see why it has such a dramatic effect on the rest of the world and why it cannot be fixed.
  7. I have just built pretty much the same system. Overclocked to 4.6GHz works a treat. One thing I would advise is to forget the HDD and go with an SSD. They are superb. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit loads in around 5s! The set up gets me 25 - 30 on the ground with PMDG B737 NGX, UTX, GEX, FTX: England and UK2000 Extreme airfields, and that is running a screen over 5000 wide with a Triple head 2 go (5040 x 1050 [3 x 1680 x 1050]).
  8. FUBAR = F****d Up Beyond All Recognition. You get the idea
  9. Ah, I see what you mean. That is a relief to hear. Thanks.
  10. Just to ask, for my own future reference: Am I right to say you can only have one area activated at a time?! This situation would be a potential problem if you have say FTX: England and FTX: Wales (in the future of course). I thought that they would simply flow beautifully into each other. Have I understood this wrong?
