  1. Hi If Terra Flora is used it only covers areas without specially placed flora the same as Rex HD airport buildings. So if you are using Orbx Australia for example that has its own trees from Orbx you will see them. There are quite a few examples in Utube that show this already. Whateveris decided you will have the best of both programes. Ken
  2. Hi I have been flying orbx since Aus first started in its coloured sections. In fact I still fly 80 percent of the time in Australia. I am glad to hear that there will be an upgrade coming but still find it strange to hear people asking for the same airports over and over. We have a fair number of good Aussie capital city Airports, some of which have already been updated, Melbourne being a good example of this. As far as Adelaide YPAD and Sydney YSSY there are already extremely good versions of these from other companies that sit quite nicely with Orbx. If you look at the layout of Australia and where the airports have been done they are mostly on the Eastern seafront which is again is understandable when you look at the Aus population. A small plea surprise surprise would be Parafield aerodrome in SA, there are only 2 major airports in South Australia and 1 YPAD has been done by someone else. Even if not Parafield then some of the other airports in other areas as yet untouched by Orbx throughout the country . One other main point is that Australia has also been extremely lucky with its smaller strips thanks to Ozx. Its only the medium size airports that seem to be missing. Orbx you have done a great job and will keep on doing it. Lets face it you only have the whole world to choose from so full Kudos from me. Ken

  5. Hi Dont forget to install PcecipitFx into MyTraffic as the effects are well worth it. I temperarilly renamed the aircraft folder in Prepar3d to another name, then placed My Traffics aircraft folder into Prepare and renamed that appropriatelly. Ran PrecipitFX which will then add everything into MyTraffics aricraft. Once this is done simply put the MyTraff ic folder back where it belongs and give back its original name. Then rename the aircraft folder in Prepar back to aircraft and your done. It sounds finicky but is really easy and well worth it to see the AI craft with the tyre smoke effects. Ken
  6. I use go flights GFTQ6. I had the unit sent from America but one of the levers was unresponsive about 12 months later. After a phone call GoFlight sent a complete set of control mounts with pots for no charge. Fantastic unit with good after sales service, the unit is now 5 years old and going strong Ken
  7. Hi Stewart You will find that the Acedemic A2A C172 will only work in the Acadmic version of Prepar3d. Ken

I think you may of missed the biggest point here chumley. The whole idea of Anzac Day is not to glorify war as a lot of people think but to remember the loss and waste of lives not just on the allies side but on both sides so that the same thing does not happen again. Lest we Forget. Ken
  9. Hi Ken Great article, it brings back memories seeing the old livery again. Ken
  10. Hey Skimmer There is a small utility program called FSActiveFires that will download all fire lacations around the world and sinc them into the sim. https://github.com/ollyau/FSActiveFires/releases Ken
  11. Hi PrecipitFX works well in P3d2 except of course the Precipitation effects. You can get it to work with your AI airplanes as well but takes a little work. Precipit adds a few lines to the lpanes config files but only looks in the default airplanes folder so if you are using an AI program that uses its own folder the lines will not be added to them. To install the effects to your AI craft rename your original aircraft folder temporarilly and move the AI folder to the default airplanes location and rename that as airplanes. Run precipit again and tell it to install the effeects. It will then install the effects to uour AI craft thinking they are your actual planes. After this simply put the folders back where they originally were and give them back their old names. You now have precipitFX on all of your AI planes.
  12. Hi I use "multiplicity" that works well. It also has audio on it so that when I use pilottoATC on the 2nd machine the audio comes through my headphones that are connected to the 1st machine. Ken
  13. Hi Paddler The vpilot approach is through FSUIPC. In the example they have given you are told to use Keysend1=123,16 ;Press F12 Keysend2=123,24 ;Release F12 UseSendIput=Yes This is just an example becuase you can use any key you want as your PTT. If you look in the FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users pdf supplied when you install FSCUIP in the P2D/ModulesFSUIPC Documents folder on page 20 you will find a list that you can use. You have told the sim that when you press your PTT button it will send it as F12. Using the wide client when it sees the keysend 123 (which correlates to F12 in the FSUIPC manual) you network machine knows you are using the PTT switch. Just for example A = 65 and NUMPAD- = 109 If you read from pages 16 to 22 in this pdf Peter D explains how the programming works. Ken
  14. Hi paddler I use P3d on my main machine with pilot2atc on my network machine. Using the PTT button on your yoke connected to the main machine is possible. After hunting over the net I found this solution that works beautifully with pilot2ATC. I have to thank VPilot for the information here as it is wrttien for their software but it also works for our situation here. If you use the pdf file on the link below you will be able to use your PTT button as you hope to using Peter Dowson's registered versions of FSCUIP and FSCUIP Wide. http://vpilot.metacraft.com/Assets/Files/vPilotNetworkSetup.pdf I hope this helps.
  15. If you are using a quadrant have you calibrated the pot movements with FSUIPC so that both engines are recieving the same amount of power. Ken
