  1. While taking a clinical history from an elderly patient, I asked, “How’s your love life?” “I don’t know,” he said. “I’ll ask my wife.” He got up, walked into the hallway where his wife was sitting, and shouted, “Hey, the doctor wants to know if we still have sex.” His wife shouted back, “No, the only thing we have is Medicare and Blue Cross.” Adam

  2. We would like to provide you with an update on the recently released Microsoft World Update: United Kingdom, and how it affects our Orbx Landmarks London City Pack product. The Microsoft update includes all new photogrammetry for central London, along with several dozen new custom models of landmarks, like London Eye and Buckingham Palace. What does that mean for our customers that have purchased and installed the Orbx Landmarks London City Pack product? In its current form, Landmarks London conflicts with the Microsoft update due to overlapping landmark bu

  3. Hi all. All of us spend time in Orbx world flying our favorite planes. Which leads to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Which Image best symbolizes your flying skills? (A) (B) (C)

  4. It's a C117D (freeware but no 3D panel). Marine Corps used it 'til '76 for hauling passengers. Had to try it and thanks to Luminar for the skiesi. Cleared for takeoff at Pomona CA airport. Gear coming up - note the doors. The only livery - somewhere in South America.

  7. Both could be possible... and ps the new version is still backwards compatible with FSX and P3D if you have FTX installed or something else with precise coastlines. Brazilian fish boat

  8. I think I do a virtual tour around Tasmania every year, and mostly I start from Launceston, as shown here. Just a few captures of this 5-hour-drive, the first ones from Binalong Bay, ... ... then St. Helens, ... ... and, down the east coast, Bicheno. The perfect break is made at Friendly Beaches, with some good places to stay, hike and relax nearby. Parked!

  14. A rocket hanging under the left wing - a freeware simulation of Virgin's test rocket. Off the long runway at Edwards AFB, climbing to FL400 for launch - rocket's hung below the inboard portion of the wing. Climbing north for now - will turn west for launch. Beautiful evening. Turned it loose but unfortunately never changed trajectory - big smoke in the valley. So much for that - back to the drawing board.

  15. We did not have access to the UK update until it was released publicly. Agree it would have been good to start working on this earlier (we did ask to have early beta access). Personal thanks for supporting us as we update the pack - working as fast as we can :-)

  16. Hi all, small update and new previews. Development is taking longer than anticipated as the P3Dv5 variant is needing a whole lot more work in terms of exclusion of secondary and tertiary roads. Without these exclusions, we are seeing a mass of minor roads cutting through our landscape textures which does not do it any justice. This is quite pronounced on the Indian subcontinent. We are also ensuring that it will work with the Vector product being present or not so that is also increasing the workload. Nonetheless, Eugene is practically on this 7 days a week and this is

  19. I am trying to find out if there is a way of just loading ground and water textures? I can't find any info anywhere apart from people saying that's all they use......I have ASCA in my p3dv4.5 for clouds etc..... also is there a way of using ENVSHADE on it's own? it seems like you either install all or nothing...

  29. I've just done a delete of the rolling cache, turned photogrammetry off and on again and reloaded default London, which now looks significantly better than it did 24hrs ago. It still looks a bit shabby and dirty (hey, it's London) but the post nuclear holocaust look is very much improved. There is talk on the MSFS forums about getting poor quality photogrammetry data due to overloaded servers, which is then cached on your own PC so it keeps looking bad, and this seems to have some truth to it.

  32. Hi there, thanks for the feedback, we're already hard at work as mentioned here: https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/205264-compatibility-of-orbx-landmarks-london-city-pack-with-microsoft-world-update-united-kingdom/ For suggestions please see https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/205283-ideas-for-landmarks-london-following-msfs2020-uk-update/ Not sure though what's supposed to be wrong with the Cutty Sark in glorious photogrammetry or HMS Belfast as two shiny new superyachts... Cheers, Holger

  35. EGMC and EGTB are both PilotPlus addons for them to answer. EGLC is an Orbx addon. All 3 addons now work fine as the problem created by Bing Data in the MSFS sim was resolved in the new update. Porting P3D and XP addons into MSFS is an ongoing process and will be done only if there are no glitches in compatibility. I cannot give you a timeline now which addon could be done. it is not as simple a process as many think it is.

  40. Could I also perhaps impose on the team to possibly add the London Aquatics Center since you already have London Stadium? It's not that it has any special significance, but whoever did the photogrammetry had the astonishing idea of cutting it literally in half, and let's just say it isn't very fetching.
