Okay, so I shall share a story that is kind of similar. Before I retired from the U.S. Army in 2018, my last assignment had me working at a U.S. joint agency. The agency is now called DPAA (Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency), but it used to be called JPAC (Joint POW/MIA Accounting Agency) and it is based in Hawaii. I was working there from 2014-2018. The mission of that agency is to find and recover the remains of missing MIA/POW U.S. Service Members from past wars, to include the Cold War (there are still lots of missing pilots and air crews from aircraft that went down across the world duri7 points

Hi all, Wow, what an exciting few weeks since we announced Volanta! Our team is thankful to all of you who signed up. We’ll be in touch very soon with steps to gain access to the invite-only beta. The feedback we’ve been receiving from everyone has been great. With this, we’ve been able to implement some of the most requested features and shape our roadmap for the future. We’re starting with small numbers of invites to ensure everything is stable, then we’ll invite more people in batches. We’re excited to give you all access! Our team has been w3 points

Great to hear from you again Jack! when I read your first post I had a feeling what the problem was. Good idea today is to have a security system with 24hr video surveillance and S&W as friends. Again, great to hear from you Jack, tell Martyn I said hello. Good luck with the move and stay safe most importantly!3 points

First Jankees repaint I have acquired out of flightsim.to, Savage Cub in Swedish colors. Installed without a hitch. I then took some shots at Orbx Notodden while trying out different SoFly settings. TTM (MSFS/Med) Waiting to depart Notodden Lot of painting detail work gone in here. Note the interior body tubing in a different shade of green. Over the airport, SoFly light winds SoFly light fog SoFly snow storm SoFly towering clouds, at dawn2 points

Tried to get into Bryce at different times of the day in a Rehberg/Schneider/Hofmann SG-38. Landed short & at times felt like I was progressing at a walking pace. But an interesting form of pure flight. I think the model CG may be a bit far forward as I had a lot of up elevator in to hold it level. TTM (MSFS/Med) SoFly 'Hot Sun', 2pm. Dawn, no lift about. Runway lights but not close enough. Landed short.2 points

Good Day Derek Lots of good advice here Perhaps this may be of help to you as well. When Nvidia first released the 2000 series cards they specified the following recommendations (not that it is necessarily set in stone, but based upon my experiences it is definitely solid advice) And variants... RTX 2060 - 1080p RTX 2070 - 1440p (2K) RTX 2080 - 4K The reason for this is that as the screen resolution goes up, there are a greater number of pixels to be handled by the GPU (1080p = 2,073,600 pixels, 1440p = 3,686,400 pixel2 points

I second, what John said. Only if you like seasons I would recommend also to have the full fat England region installed. But then you have to switch between TE and the England region as they won't work simultaneously.2 points

I don't think it is a secret that the speed at which some of the MSFS scenery is being released is at least partly due to the reduced development and testing needed for airports that have already been developed and released for P3D or XP11. My knowledge of Orbx's plans is just from these public forums and they seem to indicate continued development for P3D and XP11. I would certainly understand if developers were shifting their priorities to the new kid on the block, if that is where the most customer demand is. But perhaps they may just be initially focused on the low hangi2 points

Hi Gumby, I saw this and had to reply. Thank you for your concern, I very much appreciate it. I’m fine under very difficult circumstances. We’re in the process of moving. My wife and my life have been, well, I won’t say publicly. It’s extremely stressful and she’s terrified. Martyn and I communicate every day via email. I cannot say publicly why he left but it’s a very valid reason. We have discussed coming back, we both miss the camaraderie. Also, since I don’t use the new Microsoft game I would feel odd. Anyway, I was here without logg2 points

Thanks for the advice Doug. Just downloaded and reinstalled Orbx Central. No problems. Working like it did in the past. I must be going senile or something. Very weird. Graham1 point

Pete, that's how I feel about A2A aircraft and also Chaseplane in P3D. They seem like small addon's compared to the larger sim itself and all the scenery, but for me, they absolutely make all the difference why I want to keep using that sim. Cheers! Landon1 point

We are looking into shader-based tech for seasonal variations that does not require new textures to be installed. This will take some R&D but we’re definitely committed to doing it.1 point
