  2. For what? I didn't do anything but provide a link. Trust me, I know how it feels to be helped by this excellent community. It's my pleasure to give back, even if it's posting a link.

  6. Thanks John This great scenery really makes a difference! Cheers Pete Thanks OND I could understand that. We usually get this kind of sky in late afternoon around 4:30-5 in December/January. Got to bundle up if you want to take photos Cheers Pete I really should be thanking you Ken for this wonderful airport. It really needs a little sign like a tourist spot will have - "Photo Spot!" There are endless opportunities in your creation for that! As I said to OND, we get this kind of sky (if we're fortunate

  8. Introducing Notodden Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator! Quickly following on from the successful release of his Ålesund Vigra, developer Finn Hansen brings to life this delightful general aviation airfield located in the south of Norway. Brimming with charming details, ENNO encompasses both the airport and surrounding townsite, packing plenty of POI and off-airfield areas to explore. Continuing the theme of other recent Orbx releases, Notodden is a major upgrade of the original ESP release, with updated textures, complete PBR texturing, and many other small changes and improvements.

  14. With an MSFS version imminent, I thought I would have a look at the P3D variant. Went in at dawn in a QW RJ100, which was an optimistic choice, given the length of the runway. TTM (P3D v4.5) Early morning sun behind the aircraft. Steep approach necessitates air brakes. Still bleeding off speed. Perhaps I dropped too much speed, just cleared the fence. Looks like the road barrier is in place. Do they move it or lower it for flight arrivals??

  15. From Mammoth to Mariposa via Yosemite. Latest at .org - updated CH750, it's a good one. Since field elevation at Mammoth is 7134', some judicious leaning is required to maximize rpm's. Turned out to be a perfect heading for Yosemite. Right past 'Half Dome' and into the valley. Quite a few lights at the village - party night. El Capitan - 3000' of straight up.

  17. Hi John, I'm going to use TE-FL as an example because I have a bunch of airports for both sims. The short answer is XPlane 11. XP 11 has better night lighting and I love the way that the highways interact with the cars. With the right planes and nav equipment, it's fun! But, the ATC sucks, Global Traffic is nice and adds Airliners and GA but they do not interact with ATC, and the weather is abruptly injected into the sim. It's still a beautiful and smooth sim with Orbx TE. P3D v4.5 is a more complete sim and loads faster. However the micro pauses and poor pe

  18. I have fully loaded versions of P3D v4.5 & XP11, and neither has been used in over a month because MSFS is the most beautiful lighting and atmosphere ever created. It's for me as close to real flying as it gets. I can do day/night VFR & IFR flights in MSFS. I just don't ever see myself ever going back to the legacy sims and it's only going to get better and better. Having said that, Orbx has always said that they will support all the sims. Good luck!

  19. Many thanks, Wayne Oh yes, Jean Marc, there are quite a few. To start with, the FSX Acceleration P 51 Mustang works very well, with all gauges working. Also the a2a P 47, the freeware Milviz Stuka, Milviz P 38, Just Flight Mk 1 Spitfire or the Aerosoft Catalina, all work fine with most of the gauges functional. If you are into older planes, also the Aeroplane Heaven Bristol Bulldog works fine. Many thanks, Gerold. The conversion is unfortunately not that simple. You need a plane converter, that does it for you. There is a good freeware one available: htt

  22. Thanks Lukas, we will take the feedback and see what can be done. I do believe that the airport ground service personnel and vehicles are dictated by the parking positions and spawn according the parking position sizes. We also cannot do much about the vehicle traffic on the roads as that cannot be modified by us at the moment.

  25. Locking this now. The main model object of KBUR is a single large model and Asobo have recommended it be split into smaller portions and recompiled. Matteo will be working on that as a potential solution which we anticipate to come into internal testing at month end.

  28. You'll be excited to hear they extended the runway last year! So let's hope we get some small jets in MSFS soon, and you'll be able to land just fine They actually move the concrete blocks whenever there's a scheduled commercial airplane coming in. Typically Beech 200's and sometimes the Rnoaf C130 Hercules. -- Finn

  35. There are numerous posts on this here in the forums. The reason for your issue probably is, that you have Bing Data set to "off". Change this to "on" and and the floating buildings are probably gone. Edit: Side effect: the whole world will look much prettier with Bing Data set to "on".

  36. Hello, I would imagine that it is named a rolling cache because once it is up to its designated size, data will leave at the same speed as it arrives. I don't use it and have it switched off.

  38. OrbxLibs can go to the bottom of the list if you want as it is a library and can actually be placed anywhere in the scenery_pack. Regarding Terra Flora, I copy a link to what it actually does. It doesn't add trees it replaces forests. Your scenery_packs.ini shows next to zero addons so you are flying in default scenery. The forests therefore be slightly different and more varied than the default ones. A diverse range of tree-types has been included to replace the default types and all coloured to better match the default ground scenery.
