  2. Today we follow South Africas coast westwards... but with a little detour first. From Port Elizabeth... ... with its Golf course and harbour... ... to Colchester, which marks the southern end of Addo Elephant Park. Addo village to our left. The NP is big, and it spreads over the Zuurberg mountains... ... up to Lake Mentz (our navigation turning point). Here we fly back south over the mountains... ... and towards the "Sunshine Coast". Today mostly hidden in clouds, as always when I travel. St

  3. Where have you been flying? I was attempting to circumnavigate the globe in my A2A Bonanza, but then I purchased TrueEarth UK and haven't made it out of Scotland. I've found great pleasure flying VFR over this scenery. Post your replies.

  6. If you've been following my P3Dv5 rants over the last week or so, you will have seen that some of my major gripes have been to do with lighting an colouring. I think I've found a workaround that (more-or-less) gets me back (!!) to P3Dv4 quality ... more later ... here are the pics: Even without my latest settings/fix, it was possible to get a decent shot - albeit a little difficult: Now back to my usual scenery test-bed: NZMF. No Orbx airport as yet, but NZSI still makes a great job of the surrounding area: Water set to "High" for this one:

  7. Messing about with settings. Flight out of Half Moon Bay, headed to Rohnerville. Getting the ground how I want it, but aircraft coloration is off. v5 appears to struggle with getting decent light on to vertical surfaces, such as aircraft sides. TTM (P3D v5) [EA on, DL on, Shadows on, Bloom = 0.0, Vsync off, 30fps]

  14. 2 shots on the way from Felts Field to Sun Valley. 1st shot is per the Adam Banks Frustration Settings, (ABFS), detailed in his post "P3D v5, I Think I've Tamed The Beast - sort of", wherein EA was not used. 2nd shot is per settings I tried. Details above the shot. It looks like ABFS had more saturation. TTM (P3D v5) EA off, HDR: Bright: 1.35, Bloom: 0.0, Sat: 1.06 EA on, Br: 1.20, Bl: 0.0, Sat: 1.0

  22. Hi there, see https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/190950-known-issues-with-prepar3d-v5/ It's a known issue at a number of mid-sized and larger airports because all default airports have been re-made and the v4 versions of the generic terminal buildings, which we used, now no longer exist. We're working our way through the Regions to restore the display of terminal buildings, adjust jetways, remove overlapping buildings, etc. It'll probably take us a few weeks to get it all done but we''ll provide updates through Orbx Central as soon as each Region has been

  36. wow an amazing journey ! sometimes you had to jump in speed rocket style planes ? And no risk to get Covid19 in such remote places That reminds me we had to wait the full cleaning of our tent pegs at the arrival airport ... feeling a bit guilty ...

  37. These days, I think I enjoy the fiddling more than the actual simming. I mean - where would be the challenge? Thanks, Eberhard. I hope you manage to score a cheap upgrade for your card with all this economic turmoil. You'll need to be very careful with that 970 ... only 3.5GB VRAM. It's a bit of a struggle!!! Thanks, Richard! With all the fuss I've lost track of making sure I snap a few hopefuls for this month's screenshot comp. Looks like I may have a candidate! Orbx NZSI around Milford has always been a total ge
