  1. Hi all, The past month has been pretty rough, hope everyone is staying safe! Since we're all cooped up indoors and playing flight sims, I thought I'd take some time to finish up the Californian Channel Islands that never made it into the first version of Santa Barbara, so that you all have somewhere new to explore This update adds over 700 square kilometers of new coverage to KSBA, more than doubling the original coverage area. It also adds 3 lite airstrips for you to land at. These airstrips are super fun and challenging to fly into, and are a nice short flight away f

  3. Time to start this autumns Tasmania tour, and, like most times from Launceston. Did I ever mention this airport look is as outdated as chinese sceneries would be, because the buildings and streets were complete overhauled during the last 10 years? A short view over the fields of Sharman´s Wines... ... and the golf course of the Country Club Casino. The buildings should be northwest of the little lake. Following the NH1 we find ourselves near Carrick. Some VIPs here know this village well, am I right, @teecee

  8. Ready for a little hike in the morning? Let´s go to Dove Lake under the iconic Cradle Mountain... ... and stop at the parking lot to walk around it. The weather may not look too fine, but this shot proofs there should be some more trees in the sim scenery. At lunchtime it is a good idea to get back to Cradle airstrip... ... change the equipment... ... and follow C132 westwards. Passing Lake Mackintosh, ... ... and Zeehan... ... on the way to Ocean Beach. Turn

  11. Some screen captures of a flight from Cape Town, South Africa to Windhoek, Namibia... The P3D "default" terminal at Windhoek was a BIG disappointment and reminded me of a McDonalds drive-in & it was closed too! I soon thereafter found a nice freeware alternative. The scenery used involves the latest Orbx Africa OpenLC. Keep safe & maintain your distance.

  30. It was short. After they took out Caligula, some crazy guys on the Praetorian guard put a wreath on my head. Later they found a better choice, Claudius and I was history but I did get a robe with purple on it out of the deal.

  36. Warning, P3dv4.5 does not like when you assign a scenery with an Autogen file via xml method. This causes the trees to disappear. I have over 1019 scenery entries and discovered that when I either deactivate the offending scenery or change it to cfg method the trees return. Bear in mind you must do this to all scenery. Leaving any one of the offending scenery active will cause this anomaly. I have pleaded and continue to plead to all developers to stop using the ACM. It is not a solution to the problem as it may have been prior to p3dv4.5 HFII. Also, while on the topic of

  37. Most certainly! Sadly available for free for a mere 24 hrs :-(( You have to admire what the devs can do with photoreal and clever mapping/blending. It's a joy to fly over. Green it is!!! Mind you, I tend to restrict all my TE flying to the summer months - so everything ought to be fairly lush! Not like in NZ, where it can get quite brown! Thanks for the comments, folks! Adam.

  42. If I remember correctly , EGCB was one of the first Orbx XPlane 11 sceneries by Tony @Tony Wroblewski. I thought it was absolutely spectacular and it brought me hours of pleasure. I love the old industrial heritage buildings that still exist in the UK and for me this is a fine example of one. BTW - it was a very tight fit Cheers Pete
