Hi all, Since releasing Orbx Central just under two weeks ago, we have been receiving valuable feedback for Central - both positive and negative. We are committed to listening to this feedback from you, our customers. We have not slowed down our development speed since releasing Orbx Central. In fact, we are adding more members to our team to ensure we build an incredibly stable and robust platform for installing Orbx products. We have been carefully reading every post in the Orbx Central Support Forum. Even if we don’t directly address your post, please be24 points

Welcome to Oregon! TrueEarth US Oregon is now available to purchase from OrbxDirect in both SD and HD versions. The SD version is perfect for those with less disk space who tend to fly above 2000 feet. As you can see in the slider images above and below, the HD version provides more detail on the ground. We have transformed the city of Portland into a breathtaking CityScape to explore, while also enhancing other prominent cities such as Corvallis and Salem. As with TrueEarth US Washington, Or11 points

Hi Marek, We've already completed most of the major changes we wanted to make (which is why we've been less active in this subforum over the past few days). This update will release within 24 hours. I'm hoping to get a post out today detailing those changes and what we're working on in the near future. It's no secret that this has been quite a bumpy release, but we genuinely want to make Central the premier platform for managing your Orbx scenery, and we won't stop until we get there4 points

As there has been awful lot of brown stuff being heaped onto ORBX Central 4 over in the support forums, I thought in the interests of giving a more balanced picture I'd mention that I've just used Central 4 to install TE US Oregon HD. It not only performed faultlessly, but with Extraction and Conversion stage running concurrently with the download, they completed only 20 seconds after the download itself completed! It only took an 1hr 30mins to get to this point and then less than 10mins to complete the backup and clean up and the job was done. This is way quicker than FTX Central so my congr3 points

A true relief. Thanks, flyingleaf Thanks for asking, John. We are doing three volumes. The first will come out in a couple of weeks. The second not long after. The third early next year. Really happy with it. Thanks, Jack. Hope to get back to the Forums soon. The book has sucked up time like a sponge.3 points

Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to unveil the next project for Prepar3D v4 from Rasha Tucakov and myself - LYBE Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport in Serbia. This project has been a delight for us to work on, it is Rasha’s home airport, as well as an airport I’ve passed through many times when visiting my family that lives in the city. Belgrade Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe, with over 5.5 million passengers passing through in the last year. As the gateway to a city growing quickly in popularity amongst tourists, it receives a huge amount of2 points

Just got Orbx Global base pack. Does this include the Continental (Europe, south america, North america LC packs)? If not what do those add to the sim? A lot of my flying is in PMDG/FSLabs airliners so are there any other addons recomended?? Thanks in advance.2 points

Having recently moved to OR and enjoying the hiking and scenery ... looks like I'm going to have to buy the XP11 version but was hoping we might see a P3D version also? Hiked Multnomah Falls (east of Portland of I-84) yesterday: Next stop is Silver Falls. Cheers, Rob.2 points

TE Oregon SD. Took the AeroWorx DC-3 down the 10 nm approach into 28L & I have to say I was very impressed with the overall quality & ambiance of the scenery. In particular, the traffic moves at a realistic rate, plus I spotted a train in motion, which is always pleasing. Night lighting is excellent & the airport very realistic. Buildings look good. Kudos to the team that put TE Oregon together, a superb product has resulted. If I may be permitted to express that less formally, the team has done a bl-dy good job! Another must have from Orbx.2 points

OK, but what about those of us that DID migrate? To repeat my so far unanswered question - To be clear - to "uninstall" as recommended above we must install FTX Central just for that one task? Also, it it just Global BASE Pack, or, to Buildings , Trees (others) have to also be moved?2 points

Nice scenic flight once I hit the Cascade Range from Spokane International and found Mears Field is the new name for Concrete Municipal Airport. Enjoying the Beech C90 GTx, always been big on Twins Turbo's. It's a lot of shots, Enjoy.2 points

Hi, I simply re-installed FTX Central 3 and re-downloaded and re-installed my products which I had earlier migrated. Unfortunately this was the only method I could find from the forums. Regards.2 points

After Iain published a recent set with the stunning Air Canada livery on the Carenado B1900D, that was the one I wanted for this flight from Bella Coola to Stewart. TTM (P3D v4.5) Over Stewart at 11,000'. Circling to bleed off altitude. Flaps look meaty. Flew away from Stewart then turned & dropped down into the fjord that leads to the airfield. Fog rolled in at the wrong moment & ended up 500' asl headed for more fog.. On approach & drifting to the right. Too far to the right & landi2 points

Many thanks for your kind comments, John We are working hard to resolve all of the issues people currently have with Orbx Central. I just posted a topic in the Orbx Central Support Forum detailing the changes we've just made to Central, and what we're still working on fixing:2 points

I caved and installed Orbx Central so I could buy and install Skagit. There's no hope for me. But I'm enjoying a nice evening. ~2 points

Wonderful shots, Iain! I can't wait to try this new TE region. Maybe you could help me with one question: the water representation looks very good in ORBX sample pictures (as it does in your picture #3 above). Is this XP11 standard, or are you using some add-on or modification? Thank you very much and best regards!2 points

Hello Carlos, this will give you some idea: To use it without the photo scenery, untick FTX_EU_!GBS_08_CUSTOM in your scenery library. If it is still too hard on your system, move all the FTX_GBS_3DM files out of your ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_!GBS_05_SCENERY\scenery folder. You will lose very many buildings in London.2 points

Thanks so much for the nice comments everyone, Rasha and I are incredibly humbled at the response this has gotten! Keep an eye out for some more previews soon, release isn't far off. We will fix this as soon as we can after this release, I agree it is well overdue2 points

Recently another member commented in my posting "Night Flight into Heathrow" that they experienced some difficulty in obtaining good image quality from Imgur for a sunset image that they had recently posted. I got intrigued and decided to investigate further. In Imgur's information regarding upload limits they mentioned the following " Non-animated images over 1MB for anonymous uploads and 5MB for account holders will be lossily compressed" ref: https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000083326-What-files-can-I-upload-What-is-the-size-limit-2 points

My old flight computer bit the dust, and I had to upgrade. Decided to go all the way and jump to P3D4 at the same time. I dreaded the thought, but it couldn't have been easier. ORBX had all my scenery set up so I could download it into the new sim, as did most of my plane developers. That took about a week, but there were no hassles. I am up and flying with great relief. Thanks, ORBX, for making an experience I feared into a simple and painless process. Well done!2 points

Admittedly, this picture is not fully realistic for two reasons. First, it's quite unlikely that the Swiss Air Rescue REGA will fly to Innsbruck. Second, they don't use the AW139 but a mix of AW109SP "Da Vinci" and H145. Nevertheless, REGA has ordered three AW169 – which is the smaller sister of the AW139 – from Leonardo in order to provide all-weather HEMS service. As those aircraft will be equipped with an ice protection system, those helicopters will expand the operation limits for air ambulance helicopters to bad weather with icing conditions. They already do inst2 points

Hi Folks, Well - that's absolutely fantastic news - I'm not sure I'm sold on the photoreal "TE" scenery yet - I do know I love the traditional ORBX regions - and this one will be right up my alley... I hope it does encompass what was posted above... Made my day... Regards, Scott2 points

Looks good, my lasting memory of this airport was passing through a few weeks before 9/11, when I saw passengers routinely passing bags around the side of metal detectors as they walked through, and the armed police there stood and watched and didn't bat an eyelid.1 point

And I was looking for a Jet Commander . Believe that was a free one for FSX - would look equally good on XP.1 point
