  2. Ford Tri-Motor taxiing at EGHP Popham Airfield. Departing Popham for EGTH Old Warden. Halfway - England, overcast but beautiful. Arriving at Old Warden - too fast, going around! Worth going around - saw the stately mansion. Parked at the old tower, EGTH Old Warden.

  4. One hundred and ten years ago, on July 29, the intrepid Frenchman Louis Bleriot won a thousand GBP by crossing the English Channel in an airplane - before anyone else. He flew for 36 minutes at an airspeed of 45 mph and an altitude of 250 ft - distance travelled 26.8 miles No $100 hamburgers in those days but he probably had something a whole lot tastier. Bienvenue en Angleterre M. Bleriot

  5. Tonight, I was on Youtube, listening to a song I didn't get, from a country I don't know where It made me think about Tim and Ken adventure, why I really don't know, maybe that song is not from there at all. But their scenery made me travel in some ways, made me dream like I was there. It doesn't' matter honestly The principle about my post is: Without perfectly knowing ORBX made us travel in a way, meet virtually some cool folks all around the world, make us dream and have fun. Made us discover places and culture that we didn't know about. If I may my good ORBX friend, this is the

  6. To those few who may have missed me, I am happily back, after some challenging events. I was gone from here, since early last summer, I believe. A few years back, I was wounded in action, and suffered some serious injuries as a result. I never disclosed that to anyone on here, except maybe a few of you privately. Well, last summer, I started to experience some serious medical issues related to my wounds. As a result, using a computer (and hence, flight simming) became extremely difficult and sometimes downright uncomfortable. Short story is they found out I was having low grade seizures due to

  7. Taken around Gloucesterhire & Wales - XP11 + TEGB South: Needless to say - one of my favourite pics (!): Not to be outdone ... back in Wales with a humbler aircraft: Finishing off with WWII: Taken using this xVision preset: Adam XV121_04 Photoreal NOTE: I'm doing my newer presets in pairs: one for photoreal (eg. TEGB) and one for "native" XP11 scenery areas (which I can't display here ). Check the site for further details. Tweaking & testing new presets is a downright pleasure with T

The Siege of Vicksburg is commemorated at the vast Vicksburg National Military Park, which encompasses the Vicksburg National Cemetery and the restored USS Cairo gunboat. The landmark Old Court House has a museum displaying Civil War artifacts. The Lower Mississippi River Museum features an aquarium and interactive exhibits. Battle Summary: Vicksburg, MS. Description: In May and June of 1863, Maj.

  17. As noted in Stew's post, there's been lots of changes for the good since your absence. As others have so well said, your service is deeply appreciated, and that's from one vet to another To the mods: Is there any way someone can gift Landon a scenery or two so he can see where we are in simming today? If necessary, a PM to me with details would be welcome.

  21. More to follow but I made some changes. I didn't like the look of UWXP 2.5's purple clouds so I went back to 2.4. And I didn't know how much of a hassle it is to simply change textures. I mean you have to reload all the cloud puff textures, it's very non-intuitive but it works. So this is Orbx's TE, UWXP 2.4, ASXP with real time weather on.

  32. Never made that trip by air but did go, by rented car in '51, to see my new sister - before 'M' roads they still had the old roadside mileposts from stagecoach days. Did it again headed for the 'new land', in '53, saw my remarried Dad for the last time. FWIW - read where REX is finally throwing their hat in the ring with XP. Their latest effort, when completed, will hopefully be made in an XP version. Last but certainly not least, your shots are excellent.

  33. Thank you for replying, the only thing is that the enable/disable AEC mode does not show quite a few airports either, and yes Prepar3dv4 has been installed to the root folder of the hard drive, let me know if there is another option as reinstalling prepar3d to a folder structure would mean to reinstall all of the addons and there are quite a few sceneries and utilities, thank you. Manuel.
