Hi all: I was just thinking about some of the magazines I enjoy. I like several aviation history magazines, a couple of flight sim magazines, and some news and current event magazines. My enjoyment of those publications made me start thinking--why doesn't ORBX start a magazine? I thought I'd poll the Forum and see what kind of stories would be interesting for our mag. Some sample ideas: 1. JV reveals that he really is a benign alien genius refugee from Alpha Centuri. 2. New mini-fullfat-developments: Venice Beach, CA; Cote d'Azure, France; Cancun, Mexico. No worries Iain, sorry about that. I guess the terrain wasn't so visible. Let's try that again. A visit to the Catalina Casino to test my luck: Cheers,2 points

Maybe it is now a little bit late to implement, but at the next sale a countdown timer on the OrbxDirect website during the final stage might be a good idea. Fred2 points

P3D 3.4 - Orbx everything Bought five new airports today, but unlike the last 7 I got no receipt when last time I did Anyway, these are all in the northwest of the USA. All VERY beautiful and I can't wait till V4 is ready as I hate keeping an eye on VAS but they sure are nice! First up is 0S9 - Jefferson County Next airport is W28 - Sequim Valley - Very nice! Now on to lovely W16 - Monroe First1 point

Hi Chaps, Just an update - I have tried all of your suggestions - for which I thank you. Anyway, I set up my default flight as cold and dark with the MS Cessna 172SP. That worked a lot better! I have since tried two different Spitfires and the Hurricane. Things are looking better. I still think that the calibration of my controls is not 100%, also the throttle control on the fighterstick does affect the separate dedicated throttle control. But, I can now take off and achieve almost expect speeds at different heights . Thi1 point

Hi Paul, If it was the FSX cfg it would affect all aircraft. FSX cfg at C: Users / Your name / Appdata / Roaming / Microsoft / FSX Controls in the folder at the top and is a xml file. But just lists the keys and controls you have assigned to your Joystick, Rudder pedals etc. Unless your contoller has become faulty it is bound to be something simple. Regards, Smudger1 point

Great selection of shots Jack... the images showing the detail and depth of these areas are well done. The sale was good for me as well. I purchased Australia and am starting to explore there. Probably wouldn't have taken the jump without the sale.1 point

What plane are you trying to fly Paul? Have you tried another plane? I have some planes that will not move on the ground even with full throttle.1 point

Got 'em both Jack and 2 of my favourite songs for what has been a long, long time. I am so happy I got these that I am floating in a most pepeculair way. An excellent pair of caps too1 point

Brilliant idea Rodger. I could do a section every edition on how not to do things under the title "Flight Simming for idiots by an idiot". This would include things like how not to fly, how not to install certain products and how to be totally baffled by all this modern stuff. Damn, damn, damn. I have just installed REX 4 into P3DV4 and it actually works. I am losing my touch. I shall say it again, they don't call me the Frank Spencer of the FS world for nothing. Now where is that Mitsubishi G4M bomber I was trying to install?1 point

Nice shots, *LOVE* S93 great airport to fly out of. Thank god Australian currency is on PAR with the Canadian dollar, I've gotten all the airports and regions I still needed with this sale.1 point

All the same airport Paul. The Wikipedia entry covers it's history quite well. As you can imagine all of the potential land sales and negotiations are well covered in the local press. The site hasn't been identified as YPEC (as sold by Orbx) for years. It is now YLMQ. (You can locate it on Sky vector) Newcastle locals however still call it Aeropelican or just Pelican airfield. I used to fly to Sydney and back, from there, when Aeropelican operated aircraft out of there most days of the week. Commuter flights now leave from the vastly improved Newcastle Airport which shares1 point

Unfortunately allmost all city sights are missing in Buenos Aires. I used to use BsAs X and SABE X for Buenos Aires but sadly these don't work well with Open LC SA. Hopefully the guys at Flightsim Argentina or the guys at Orbx will fix this. Right now besides the size Bs As doesn't look like Bs As. Gesendet von meinem E5823 mit Tapatalk1 point

yesterday I posted about how the night textures are different in p3d and fsx. I'm finding hard to fly in night at p3d because icant stand the orange roads(they even look more redish maroonish actually) its sooo unrealistic for me and they don't go well with the light colors(ive tried everything in lights configurator). I really want to change the color, is there a file I can edit in paint or photoshop or something? I'm just wondering if anybody knows how I can change the color of the night textures or I'm doomed with this for life heres how the p3d looks and real life road tex1 point

why are the p3d night textures different colors than the fsx ones? I feel like the fsx are more realistic. in P3d the roads are dark orange and if u go to a youtube video of san Francisco at night you can tell that the roads are not orange nor yellow their in between. p3d is very unrealistic at night. I Tried pta and its a little better bet the orange roads are still there and with lights configurator I cant even set my lights to yellow because the orange roads are there and it makes it look ugly, and if I set them orange its completely unrealistic because cities at night are not orangy1 point
