  1. Brings home a couple of my own experiences during the Vietnam war with an F-105 wing in Thailand. While Johnson and McNamara were telling us there was no bomb shortage I was on a C-130 tying to scrounge up bombs from other bases so we could fly missions. We were sending 4 Thuds out loaded with one bomb apiece so they could say they flew 4 sorties. The normal load was six 750 pound bombs per aircraft. Bombs were not the only thing in short supply. We needed Allen wrenches to tighten the bolts that secured the tail fin to the bombs. We could only get metric sizes and

  12. at first I was not pleased and I think LM could have let the major 3rd party developers know it was coming to prepare patches ahead... but all is good now and most pleased so far with the V3.2 patch.

  13. Very nice! I think the scenery is the free Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in New York State, USA. They have a wonderful museum and put on terrific airshows during the summer which I have been lucky enough to see many times. Well worth the visit if you're ever in the neighborhood.

  14. Well, the first times, in the '80, when I used to cross Europe by car to go to England, I was impressed by these rape fields (in Italy still not existed). Of course it's a question of personal taste, but I took a lot of photographs and, actually, they looked very similar. BTW, thanks, Fulvio

  16. Thanks Martyn, and congrats to your new (temporary?) avatar. Unfortunately my investigation was without success at the remaining airstrips - hopefully someone else can find the yellow mover there....! Ah, that would be a well-suited ObjectFlow for Ken´s next playground...

  21. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is such an amazing place. I would love to see an orbx version. I fly out of there every chance i get on Porter Airlines. Sometimes I just get a coffee and watch the planes come in. If anyone is ever in Toronto I suggest checking it out. There is also a good view from a little tower nearby.

  26. Hi Randy, Please note the position of the runway lights in this GE screenshot of KLWB. My placement is correct and also note that the control box is in the accurate location as well. I've run across just a few airports that have the lights other than directly down the path of runway, this is one. Cheers, Neil

  32. Yes, Monaco city is included so potentially you won't need the Aerosoft Monaco X and it's a great surplus because that area is not easy at all to be rendered, but we made already all the models for the most interesting POIs also for Monaco and also the mesh is custom so to use as less as possible the models to recreate the terrain (the simulator here has a lot of lacks in stardard view).

  33. When I fly to Toronto, that is the destination airport of choice. Yeppers...the ORBX touch would be great for the airport, and the Toronto waterfront scene. I'd love to see a really detailed 'lovin' of the Toronto Islands in the package, if it ever were to be developed.....(finger's crossed).

  36. Bingo! You have now uncovered the real reason for air travel in PNG, they all share the same lawnmower, rather than buy more than one they share it and use the twin otter to move it around, that's banana politics for you. nice investigative work backed up buy some very fine screenshots. definitely worthy of the MAGNUM PI AWARD Cheers Ken
