  6. Hi all, First of all we understand people want to show off their range of Orbx items but the signatures are getting out of hand. While I was doing maintenance I ran into signatures that were more than half a page long so. These are the new rules: - 500x150 max - 2 links max - 2 lines max This will make for a much easier on the eyes look and you can still put some important things in there. Thank you for understanding I have not forced it on members accounts, so please go into your signa

Junior tucked away Snug in his bed, And Mom curled up A pillow caressing her head. But far the down hall A door was ajar, Emitting a light Like a glow from afar. And all of sudden It came like a roar, The sound of a Lycoming Came out of that door. And there was Dad With a smile on his face, Getting ready to fly To a magical place. He taxied the Comanche to Three One Right, And soon took

  10. As I had to check plane & scenery repairs ( http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/107006-gear-belly-repaired-as-well-as-santa-monica-bay/ ), I was forced to leave KPSP towards KLAX (too) fast. However, here are some of the postcards I purchased there... San Gorgonio Windfarms... The tramway base station... Elvis´ house (he is not always there in these years)... Here we should have a Marilyn statue... A short stopover at Palm Springs Hospital. Bob Hope´s view... Then for a cool down time

  15. Like I said, my above post is a simplistic way of explaining the VAS issue. Different addons may or may not "work" the same way. The only real way to find out what an addon is doing to your VAS issue is to use something like Process Explorer to see or monitor how the 4 GB of FSX allocated memory is affected when you use those addons. ASN may run in it's own memory allocation on extra RAM your system has, running as a separate "process", but it still "injects" weather scenarios into the "core" FSX, and FSX has to process and display that weather using the "core" 4 GB of memory it allocated f

  16. Stewart, this is part of the problem people have understanding the VAS usage issue. Yes, FSX will only use up to 4 GB of your system's RAM memory. It doesn't matter how much "real" RAM is in the computer. It doesn't matter how much memory you have on your GPU either. FSX is going to "allocate" no more than 4 GB of system memory to use during your FSX flying session. Now, addons like ASN, UT2, and any other addon that also run WITHIN the 4 GB of memory allocated can take up some of that 4 GB of allocated memory. The addon itself may not have to COMPLETELY run within that 4 GB of

  22. The update can be forced to re-download, navigate to ...Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\User Documents\Versions, open "FTX_EU_EGCW.TXT" and replace the existing text with "FTX EU EGCW Welshpool Airport Version 1.00 November 2015". Re-open FTX Central, wait for the product sync, and the update should re-appear.

  28. Does that mean a person with high reputation numbers is more credible than one with low reputation numbers Mark? A person who has been posting on this site since it began would quite naturally have higher reputation numbers than someone who only started here a year ago. Does that make he/she more credible than the newcomer? As a measure of credibility reputation points are indeed open question. Noel

  32. I agree JC. I don't see the purpose. If someone likes what you post they can tell you in a reply There's really no need to tally scores. If it were to have any value at all then dislikes should be tallied too and subtracted from the likes. Your score could be a negative. And it should be weighted against how long you have been a member and the number of posts you have made. We are an international community of friends joined by a common thread of interest in flight simulation. And we also talk about our other interests with each other in the Pilot's Lounge.

  42. Will Customers have to edit their signatures each time they want some technical help? Or has the policy changed now so we don't need to provide proof of purchase on a support thread? I'm not against the changes. Its much easier to browse posts now. I'm just curious to know if that policy has changed? I only have about 10 scenery's and couldn't fit them in the signature.
