  1. Don't try to "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache". Doing so will restore all the default textures. Dumb move on my part but I needed to reinstall a few things anyway... If there is a way to verify the files without doing an automatic update I can't find it. Stuff happens........... Doug

  2. Following Mallard comments, I bought Cumulus X and am quite surprised with the results. Not only does it produces really advanced adjustments for thermals when using a glider, but the clouds now produce shadows on the ground. Not bad for the price.

  4. Damn dude, I would've told you if I'd had the the time to post something. I've had Train Sim from DTG since the Railworks/Rail Simulator days and verifying the cache always wiped any replacement textures/sound files.

  5. ObjectFlow is used to control when certain scenery elements appear, for example lights controlled by OF will turn on at night, the peopleflow models are clothed in summer/winter clothing. By not having the DLL working, you will miss those scenery elements and this impacts airports. This is the only element of Orbxlibs that does not work. All library objects that are placed and used normally (not by OF) will display as normal.

  6. Hi there, actually, that's perfectly normal behavior, and those aren't textures but rather autogen placement files. In FS9 there was an issue that missing landclass textures and .agn files would cause repeated RAM allocation without release; a so-called memory leak. In FSX the code was changed so that there is an iterative search tree meaning if FSX can't find the files in the local add-on folder it'll look for it in the main folders, like \Scenery\World\texture and without allocating RAM. Thus, even if the file is logged as not found it's actually loaded from the next folder in the search

  7. We are aware of the dll thing, you may also grant us a chance to get it sorted, so be so kind and quit nagging about it

  8. I really didn't notice a change on FPS. But as with any added program, I suppose there is some. I keep Cumulus X "on" all the time now, whether it's for gliding or normal flying. And in the monthly contest shot of January, it was left "on" with the Concorde flying by the Eiffel tower and the autogen settings adjusted to extremely dense, the max I could ask for ( and this is with Pilots's scenery on top of it) and the flight went on normally.

  10. Some wonderful shots there. The way I fly I need plenty of space.

  13. HI Mac, The two products are quite different. EZDok gives you dynamic head movement, camera resonance, and a setting called random. The dynamic head movement emulates your reaction to the aircraft: diving, turning, turbulence, etc. The DHM reacts to turbulence injected into the flight from the sim or weather engines (Active Sky, OPUS, FSGRW, etc). Random reacts to bumps, etc; on the ground. It is not very good in the air. I only have it enabled on the ground. Camera resonance emulates camera shake. This, of course is in addition to the cameras in EZDok, which are as good as it gets. Also,

  18. I think too that all needs to be done respecting all the rules, your article is very interesting Rockliffe, it gives the right idea and tells what to expect if a people decides to have one. My main aspiration would be to have fun with it, obviously not in violation of any rule

  20. I don't ever comment on new systems such as P3D or Steam, and am really happy with my Disk FSX setup...but.. reading through the list of fixes in the above link for the steam version of FSX is really promising isn't it..great to see. If it keeps going like this I will be glad I never made the jump to P3D....and I will eventually go straight to Steam But not yet...patience...paitience Stu

  24. No sweat. I thought it was a quick fix to change colours, so never mind. However the lighthouse is too short. In real life it stands 40 meters tall, and rages above all the houses of the town. It is an important VFR landmark as it can be seen from quite a distance. It is a quick fix if you just rescale it. I could do it myself, but I don't want to get in trouble with the EULA. https://andoybilder.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/nf0002-36.jpg

  25. Hi Clutch. Love the levers..and yep they are pricey alright..landing them here in aussie cost me up around AUD170 ...so didnt even mention that one to my wife !!..they are sturdy enough i reckon and because i have my quad at a more upright angle i do not have the issue of them sliding down because of their weight..in saying that..they come with a sticky back velcro stripe that you stick down the edge of the lever slot and the lever rests on it and makes in quite tensioned which works great. wish i had paid the extra and got the more advanced ones with the TOGA switch..but maybe later. yo
