Orbx Simulation Systems is partnering with leaders in the aerospace
hardware and flight simulator software fields on our current projects.
SimJET Training systemsis
a supplier of Flight Training Devices (FTD) to the pilot training
market, based in Brisbane Australia. SimJET aims to provide
cost-effective, high fidelity training tools incorporating
market-leading innovation, efficiency and reliability.
After eight years of research and development, SimJET is entering an
exciting industry with new concepts and ideas which are the outcome of
ongoing customer focus. Airlines now require cost saving measures in
every department, including pilot training. An airline simulator
is a huge expense, not only the initial purchase but the ongoing
operating and upgrading costs.
SimJET aims to provide low cost FTDs by using commercial off-the-shelf
(COTS) software and hardware and new simulator architecture. The
functionality of the FTD will be enhanced by using some of the best
available visual display system technologies and associated
software. SimJET will employ new through-life support systems
that are designed to provide the lowest operating costs of any
simulator on the market.
SimJET Training is a shareholder in Orbx Simulation Systems, and Orbx
is providing the ground terrain and airports as part the visual system
deliverables of their product.
