Orbx FTX and YBBN in a commercial simulator
« on: July 26, 2010, 05:48:15 PM »
Orbx shareholder and partner, SimJET Training Systems provide pilot training for commercial airlines on their simulators.

This year they opened their impressive sim to the public to provide a unique flight experience, with their new division, flightsimulator737.com.au

Here's a short video they produced for a TV show showing their B737 sim and Orbx YBBN.

FlightSimulator737

Head on over to their website to find out more or to book a flight from their Archerfield premises - http://flightsimulator737.com.au

The full specs of their system are confidential but I can tell you they are using at least five high end i7 PCs and also 4 FullHD projectors, just as a start. They don't have any performance issues at YBBN ;)  ;D

Here's a question

I have two i7 PCs sitting in the same room, could I use them simultaneously for better FSX performance, if so how?

I am familiar with have one PC run the weather engine etc... but I mean for actual FSX performance, is there some benefit to linking the PCs and how do I go about it?

What an awful thing to see!

Now I will never again be happy with this piece of junk I am sitting in front of!  ;D I often thought I would love to win a big lottery so I could have one of these things built into a huge house so that I could fly my FTX friends in to crew with me. Not likely to happen since I do not buy lottery tickets whatsoever... Oh well! If I lived anywhere near that machine I would gladly pay to take a spin in it, that's for sure.

Thank you for showing us. Is that the company that is a shareholder in ORBX?

Kind Regards,
Stephen
